Classified as a cultural center, the Dennos Museum Center houses a permanent collection of exhibits that are dedicated to the sciences, visual and performing arts. Opened in 1991, this Northwestern Michigan College-run museum hosts a number of concerts throughout the year, including an annual jazz festival that takes place in the summer.
Founded in 1930s by the park commisioner Con Foster, the Grand Traverse Heritage Center is home to a number of historical and cultural exhibits. The collections housed by the museum consist of more than 10,000 artifacts, documents and photos.
